With perfect dive conditions during their PADI dive course Sam, Tom, Greg, Jade, Chris and Paul have enjoyed four great dives here on Koh Tao.

During our shallow water skills session and first two open water dives, the posse quickly became very apt in their diving skills, techniques and buoyancy control. So for the final two dives we checked out Red Rock (aka the Nangyuan Pinnacle) and Green Rock, both a little way north-west of Koh Tao. We got to explore Green Rock’s awesome swim-through passageways formed between the scattered giant granite boulders, checking out the resident moray eels, trigger fish and many wrasses.
I’m very much looking forward to the PADI Advanced Dive Course with these guys – teaching them to dive has been a pleasure and we’ve had a lot of fun. With the Koh Tao diving conditions as fantastic as they are at the moment you can’t help but be amazed by the diving.
Plus we’ve got a big PADI Rescue Diver Course coming up in the next few days, featuring soon-to-be Divemaster internship trainees Naomi and Mark being put through their paces. Should be a lot of fun – story to follow.
