It’s been another great year here at Simple Life Diving Koh Tao, with our team of scuba instructors and Divemasters training many new and seasoned divers through all levels of PADI’s diver education system.
The 2010 PADI Asia Pacific Member Awards have given recognition to our efforts, identifying Simple Life Divers as winner of the “Outstanding Contribution to the Diving Industry Diver Acquisition” award.
Visiting Koh Tao, PADI Regional Manager Hans Ullrich presented the award to dive shop managers Luke and Haydon.

Introducing new divers to our tropical underwater world and teaching them to scuba dive via either the PADI Scuba Diver or PADI Open Water Course is a pleasure. Both rewarding and satisfying, sharing our enthusiasm for scuba diving by guiding new divers through those first few steps is the reason most us of got involved in scuba diving at a professional level.
Picking up this award means a lot to our Koh Tao Dive Team, and we’ll be continuing the good work in the future.

Looking ahead our next objective is to build on our achievements in diver acquisition, focusing effort on promoting continuing education (especially through to PADI’s professional qualifications of Divemaster, Open Water Scuba Instructor and beyond). Our newest addition to the Simple Life team – Koh Tao PADI Course Director Jeff Glenn is going to have a key role in helping us achieve those aims and we’re looking forward to exciting times of Divemaster internships, monthly PADI IDCs and lots of specialty courses.
