Eagerly awaiting England facing Slovenia in a must win final group C match of the 2010 World Cup , this evening we all met at the Brother Bar & Restaurant an hour prior to kick-off to celebrate 4 new PADI Divemasters qualifying here at Simple Life Divers, Koh Tao.
Chris from Australia, and Sophia, Mark and Lee (all from the UK) have completed their Koh Tao PADI Divemaster internships, qualifying as PADI professionals – and what better way to celebrate than with Koh Tao’s time honored tradition of the Divemaster ‘Snorkel Test’.
To the background cry of ‘put Bailey’s and lime in it to make it curdle’ Brother’s resident ‘mixologists’ rustled up three buckets of tropical concoction which the guys were prepped to consume through a snorkel.
Announcing proceedings PADI instructor Luke ‘Sneaky’ Gibson introduced the new PADI Divemasters to a packed house at Brother and with lots of cheering and clapping the guys donned mask and snorkel and proceedings got underway. All good fun!

Congratulations to Mark, Sophia, Chris and Lee on qualifying as PADI Divemasters, and hope you all continue to enjoy diving and have lots more adventures. It’s certainly been a pleasure having you around Simple Life Divers for the past weeks.

And on a final note, England did at last win a game at the World Cup, so we’ll be looking forward to the Germany game on Sunday evening……fingers crossed!
