Well its been another great week on Koh Tao, diving conditions have been excellent as usual, despite the small amount of rain we received earlier in the week, visibility has been crystal clear.
Was a good surprise to see two of my old students, dan and Julia who completed their padi open water and deep and wreck adventure dives with me here at simple life divers back in march. Since then they have been travelling around Cambodia and Vietnam but the temptation was too much and they returned to koh tao to complete 3 more adventure dives earning them the title of advanced open water!
We started with a peak performance buoyancy dive at the purpose built buoyancy world dive site just off the small island of koh nanguan. They both did very well with their buoyancy hovering upside down and swimming through the obstacles with ease!
From then we went around to Japanese gardens to comple our last 2 dives. Our next dive was navigation, learning to use a compass to take bearings underwater and navigate square a patterns back to a pre detdetermined position which they both done with ease! We finished with a fish id dive learning about all the marine life that is native to koh tao and the gulf of Thailand. We saw and identified batfish, bannerfish, angelfish, butterfly fish and the famous titan trigger fish.
Was great seeing you guys again and I had a great time finishing off you advanced course and hope to see you again next time you’re on Koh Tao!
