Cracking diving conditions during the PADI Open Water course made it easy for Charlene, Clare, Mike, Rich & Tom to decide to stick around for their PADI Koh Tao advanced course. Dave also joined up with the posse to complete his Advanced Open Water course.

Over the two days of the PADI Advanced diving course we made five more training dives, exploring more of the Koh Tao diving sites.
We got to visit the Chumphon Pinnacles for our deep dive, where the guys got their first experience of diving right down to 30M. Under controlled conditions we introduced them to a bit of nitrogen narcosis, completing a timed task on the bottom. Then we took a tour of the dive site, checking out the giant groupers around the base of the giant pinnacles and gradually working our way up to the safety stop at 5M. When the visibility is this good, Koh Tao’s Chumphon Pinnacles really is a world class dive site.
We also enjoyed an action filled night dive at White Rock, and practiced compass work and using natural features to find our way around the dive site during the underwater navigation dive.
Over the five dives the posse built on what they learned during the PADI Open Water course, and have turned into very comfortable divers. They’re now qualified to dive to 30M in conditions similar to those in which they trained, which opens up an enormous range of dive sites and diving opportunities across the world.
I hope you guys all continue to enjoy your diving & maybe we’ll see you back at Simple Life Divers some time soon – how about the night dive specialty? Or deep specialty to the recreational limit of 40M……
