Today Brett, Clare and Rachael finished their PADI Koh Tao Open Water course. As part of the course these guys were mastered many scuba skills, including the girl’s favorite – mask removal and replacement. Despite a little initial nervousness the threesome did really well, and after getting the shallow water skills out of the way we enjoyed four fantastic dives on the coral reefs around Koh Tao.

Brett, Clare and Rachael had especially good breathing and buoyancy control, quickly becoming relaxed and confident divers. This meant we were able to enjoy nice long dives, even during dive open water dive four where we got right down to the course maximum depth of 18M.
Well done to everyone – congratulations on qualifying as PADI Open Water divers and hopefully we’ll see you back here at Simple Life Divers soon.
Meanwhile Simple Life Divers‘ cockney instructor Luke ‘Sneaky’ Gibson has headed over to our information office on Koh Phangan for the monthly Full Moon Party. If you’re visiting the Phangan Full Moon Party and are planning to head to Koh Tao afterward for a PADI Koh Tao open water course or fun diving tours, pop in and see Luke. He’s available at our office in Haad Rinn to answer any questions you have and book up your Koh Tao accommodation in advance.
Also yesterday we welcomed new arrival and soon-to-be PADI Divemaster trainee Jeremy. Following his EFR and PADI Rescue Diver training, in a few days time he’ll be hooking up with the rest of the gang for his PADI Divemaster Thailand internship – reports to follow.
