This morning saw the completion of Ivan, Eleanor and Julia’s PADI Open Water Course on Koh Tao! With some slightly taxing conditions the group excelled in their buoyancy at Shark Island and even managed to enjoy a number of swim through passageways at Laem Thien.

Shark Island was as usual, a great open water dive, with schools of butterfly-fish and numerous angelfish and jacks!!! As the 18 meter dive of this Koh Tao PADI course, the group descended down the buoy-line initially nervous, but brimming with confidence. Upon reaching our max depth they realized that the additional 6 meters didn’t affect the situation as much as previously thought, and managed to make themselves immediately neutral.
The second dive took place at Laem Thien, one of our many sites that features swim through tunnels between giant granite boulders. This natural topography allowed the group to further refine their buoyancy skills as well as have great fun in these little caves. This also created a great opportunity for our videographer Jenny, to work her stuff and create an awesome movie for us.
Well done guys and enjoy your advanced open water course.
