Simple Life runs two resorts on Koh Tao, both situated along Sairee Beach.
Offers a wide range, from dorm rooms to beachfront villas at the south end of Sairee Beach.
The world famous Koh Phangan Full Moon Party is a big event for this part of Southern Thailand, drawing many thousands of tourists.
Buckets of alcohol, fluorescent body paint, music and partying all night on the beach, the scale of Full Moon Party is something everyone should experience at least once.
Since the Ko Phangan Full Moon party is so close to Koh Tao it’s easy to combine a visit to both the party and some scuba diving on Koh Tao as part of your travels through Thailand. The ferry crossing between the islands takes a little over an hour, and there are many boats departing each day.
Use a bit of common sense.
Would be wise to leave important things [passport, credit cards, travelers cheques or large amounts of cash] somewhere safe, like in a safe. Only take out items that you can afford to loose.
Probably also best to stay away from motorbikes, especially if you’re planning on drinking too much!!
There will be a lot of people. Sort out a meeting point in case of getting separated.
In the week leading up to the party, often we have people diving with us whose next stop is the Phangan Full Moon Party. Plus some of our crew and long term trainees also head across, so there’s often quite a gang from Simple Life headed over to the event.
If you are here during the days leading up to the party, you’re welcome to tag along.
When its all over and the hangovers have worn off, many people choose to take a short ride on the Koh Phangan to Koh Tao ferry to check out our fantastic scuba diving.
So even if you’re not attending the party, it’s worth keeping an eye on party dates. All amenities (ferries, accommodation, restaurants) throughout this part of Thailand come under stress around the dates of the Full Moon Party.
The bad news is, Koh Tao is much smaller than Koh Phangan, so accommodation is in high demand. This is especially true for Sairee Beach [where Simple Life Divers is located], which is the main focal point on Koh Tao.
Our advice is to make arrangements before you travel to Koh Tao. This will help you avoid a lot of hassle, and may save you a lot of money.
Whether you’re planning on diving or not, Simple Life Diving Koh Tao can help sort out your accommodation – just drop us an email.
Please note, these are the expected Koh Phangan Full Moon Party dates – the actual dates can vary by a few days depending on other factors [holidays, religion, weather etc].
