Simple Life runs two resorts on Koh Tao, both situated along Sairee Beach.
Offers a wide range, from dorm rooms to beachfront villas at the south end of Sairee Beach.
Our basic freediver course includes:
Are you curious about freediving?
Don’t have the time or are a little unsure about committing to the full PADI Freediver course?
Then why not experience the PADI Basic Freediver programme. It’s a great introduction to understanding and practising some of the core freediving skills.
It’s a one-day experience, so you get to scratch the surface of freediving knowledge, plus you’ll also get to experience some essential freediving skills such as static and dynamic apnea.
Meet your instructor to complete all paperwork and a short orientation. You will then head to the classroom for an academic presentation explaining the important aspects of freediving, including correct breathing techniques, the relationship between pressure and gas volume, proper safety protocol, aquatic life, equalisation techniques and more.
Meet your instructor again after a lunch break. From here we will head down to the swimming pool. During this session all skills will be performed in the swimming pool against the backdrop of the ocean.
Our beachfront resort has a custom-built swimming pool ideal for our freediving training and underwater skills.
Once all segments of the PADI Basic Freediver programme and performance requirements have been completed, a diver earns certification (Positive Identification Card – PIC) at Basic Freediver level by demonstrating mastery of all knowledge development and skill development performance requirements. You will be certified as a PADI Basic Freediver.
